How does one find meaning and healing following the suicide of a loved one? Hannah Russell, whose terminally ill husband ended his own life, offers insights gleaned from her own journey. She provides wisdom, comfort, and challenging questions to Friends and Friends meetings as we consider our attitudes and ministries for those at the end of life, for their survivors, and for ourselves. Discussion questions are included. In the course of telling and reflecting on a moving story, Russell raises many important questions regarding decisions at the end of life. How do we make these decisions, and how do we and our meetings support the decision making and those in this situation? Russell also reflects on grieving, suffering, and redemption. This pamphlet is rich and worthwhile. This gentle pamphlet is a deeply personal, very simple invitation to hold love in our hearts. We humans like to judge. Is it a surprise that a state like Washington, with it's "safeguards" and legal red tape regarding physician-assisted suicide was ungenerous in its dealings with the widow of a man who did not have the time to wait to "be legal?" Until we walk the proverbial mile, and even after, let us hold love in our hearts. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
