I liked this book for a few reasons. First, I found that for a K-2 reading level informational text, it actually gave important information. The text goes through the birth of a baby giant panda while also includes information on habitats, how zoos are run, and Chinese culture throughout the birth story. Secondly, the text is engaging and organized. It tells a story while includes tables/figures that add to the information of the story. The big idea of the story is to tell the story of how zookeepers take care of the animals during pregnancy. (
