The Gossip File is about a girl named Rachel who lives with her mom. That is only because her parents are divorced. So during the summer she flew to her dads house for two weeks. When she gets there she ends up hating it and wishes she never went. Her dad never spends time with her and his annoying girlfriend is making her work. At the café where she works, the two employees that worked there had a gossip file. The Gossip File was were they kept all the drama from the resort the café was at. So it was Rachel's turn to write something in it. She started writing about the crazy girlfriend and everything wrong with her. Rachel ends up splitting her dad and the girlfriend up, and causes the whole trip to be a disaster.

I gave this book a rating of four because I wasn't loving It, but it was good enough for me to finish it. It was a good story about summer and all the drama! It just annoyed me of how she talked to her dad, she would always yell at him. Anyway, I thought it was cool how she interacted with her dads girlfriend and her son. It was also nice to relate about visiting different parents and how different it is. Other people may find this book boring because of how long the chapters are. That is what annoys me, it makes me want to go to sleep. (
