Xander Sterne broke his leg six weeks ago in a car accident. His twin brother, Darius, has been looking after him, but since Darius is getting married soon and will be leaving for his honeymoon, Darius hires Samantha Smith to stay and help Xander for a couple of weeks. Xander doesn't like the idea of a strange woman, with a five-year-old child, coming to live with him. He was looking forward to some privacy. But once he gets to know Sam he finds himself very attracted to her and begins to care about her and her daughter Daisy.

I really enjoyed this book. It was book two in the "Twin Tycoons" series, the previous one--"The Redemption of Darius Sterne" was Darius's story. Darius was the dark, moody twin brother, Xander, the blond, easy-going playboy, who had some troubles of his own--he was worried that he may become like his abusive father. But after being around Sam and her daughter, he realized he had no reason to worry. I liked Sam. She was a single mother, recently divorced from her jerk ex-husband Malcolm, who never wanted Daisy. Sam really loved her daughter and would do anything to protect her. Daisy was such a cutie. I really found her adorable. I liked, at the beginning, when she knocked big Xander over when she rushed through the room. And, later on in the book, she told her loser father a thing or two! It was sweet seeing Daisy and Xander together. Sam and Xander made a good couple, they both had some pain/abuse in their past. I also liked the cute epilogue. This was another enjoyable read by Carole Mortimer. ( )
