I like this informational book, because it provides answers for many of children's questions about earth science. Although there are a lot of facts and many words, students can really learn from it. There is no moral or message, as informational books usually do not. But it is an engaging way for students to get a shallow understanding of how our earth works. ( )

This book is filled with great information and fun illustrations that even adults can appreciate. The illustrations are so kid friendly and understandable. The illustrator really broke down the facts in a way that children can understand through pictures. This book is titles, “I wonder why the wind blows.” But that is not the only question this book answers.

This book answers a multitude of questions. Such as, is the Earth round? And can mountains shrink? Some of the questions in this book I had never thought of myself. So it was interesting to read about all the facts. This book also compares and contrasts key terms, which is often helpful in the learning process.

I would recommend this book because the information is relevant and the pictures are fantastic. It is not too much information that children would get overwhelmed or bored with. For teaching purposes though, since the book covers a wide variety of information I would probably break the subjects down in different days.
