Very short, and entirely from the Luidaeg's POV. The strangest thing, for me, was that October (who's only 7 here, admittedly) doesn't really play much part - we don't see anything from her view, or even see most of the action that involved her. One short meeting with October, and then a longer one with her mother. I didn't read this until after Once Broken Faith, so I know most of what it's hinting at. I think. It's Seanan, so there may be more depths in what look like innocent comments here... ( )

This short vignette left me with so many questions... a tantalizing glimpse that October's origins might be more than they seem. ( )
