I love her use of earth tones. The simple text is accompanied by illustrations that are the perfect combination of simple and detailed. The book talks about different homes that people live in. I liked the mix of real homes and "fake" homes, like an Atlantean. It is a great read-aloud for 2-4-year-olds. ( )

This is an absolutely gorgeous book that communicates the diversity of what 'home' is in many different areas both geographically, and in our imaginations. I enjoyed this book a great deal, and I feel that I can use it to communicate diversity, and all the different ways that home is both different, and also the same. Home is a comfortable place, no matter where it is, or how it looks. ( )

I loved this book because it shows many ways in which homes can be considered, since an ordinary house, to a shoe house, to tall, short, clean, messy, or a tree house and also different places in where homes can be. Also, it shows the people that could live in specific homes. I think this book would be great to read with young students because they could see that there are many ways in which people can live and their houses can be different from them. They can also share where is their home, and to know that wherever they live is fine. ( )
