World War II is barely over when Biggles and his team are recruited to do a job for Scotland Yard. They have to track down and break up a gang of international murderers and thieves who are using the advantages of air travel to make their lightning raids. The story is read by Tim Pigott-Smith. And with that the chase begins. Adventure, flying, danger, all the common ingredients, and while this in some ways feel like a continuation of Biggles Sweeps the Desert, the author has grown up a bit. There is less of the ignorant attitude towards other people though there is a bit of it left. ( )
