Yes! these are the same comic style picture Bible stories you got in those little paper booklets ("Pix") from your Sunday school teacher!

Only this is ALL of them in one binding with no "to be continued..." and no other filler stuff.

This is a comic book, with nice drawings simply scripted. "For all ages", and "Endorsed by Catholics and Protestants".

I read "The Picture Bible" completely through when I was around twelve and enjoyed it, and I would recommend it to young adolescents, especially those who would find its comic-book/graphic novel style appealing. However, the images are becoming dated, reflecting out-of-date historical information. Furthermore, the language about God and humankind is exclusive, and the people are unfortunately depicted entirely as Caucasian. Also, while generally the language of the text presented here is modernized (as of the 1970s), some reflects the King James Version. As I said previously, I would highly recommend it to young adolescents; however, I would only do so if there was ample opportunity to discuss some of "The Picture Bible's" shortcomings with the youth.

This interesting version of the Bible is illustrated in a comic book style that may be more appealing to our young readers. It accurately portraits the main events in the Bible; it could easily be used by adults as well.
