The Skunk was a book I bought as a baby shower gift, and man was it super fun and hilarious! I really liked this book, and the family I got it for was delighted as well. It's a great picture book with lots of hijinks and funny moments. It's lighthearted and easy to read as well. Definitely a great alternative book to the mainstream picture books to pick up, and have a good chuckle.

The Skunk is a related fiction story that involves a man being followed around by a skunk. The author personifies the skunk to be very clingy and follow the main character with an odd sense of attachment. After the man becomes fed up with the skunks continuous company, he moves to a new address and throws a party in celebration. However, the main character then beings to worry that the skunk may be in trouble, so he leaves his party to find the skunk. Once found, the man decides to watch the skunk just in case. The book uses illustrations as a main element to interpret the story. The illustrator's use of color is something that an educator could use to emphasize the use of color as a tool. The illustrator uses neutral colors throughout the book with only accents of red. Once the man starts his new life, the illustrator implements colorful scenes ( )
