While I felt it was pretty predictable, it was still funny and enjoyable. I didn't really like the characters at first, but they grew on me, which made them seem more real in a way. I loved "Between the lines" and this reminded me a bit of that (if you like this book, read Between the lines too!) ( ) Brooklyn Heart is a pop star who is signed at the same label as Jason Monroe. Company executives think it's a good idea for the two to write a song together to perform at the Grammys. So Brooklyn heads off to his ranch in Montana despite the fact the two don't seem to like each other. I just finish Not So Nice Guy by this author and loved it, so I went looking for more of her books. I did enjoy this one but I have to admit it seemed a bit forced. Part of the problem for me was that it was all written from Brooklyn's POV while Not So Nice Guy alternates between the hero/heroine. So, for most of the book, I have no idea what Jason is thinking about Brooklyn, and his behavior is pretty odd. It also makes him somewhat unlikeable as a person. It's an okay book, and I'll read the sequel about Cammie, Brooklyn's sister, but I can only give it 3 1/2 stars. 5 laugh out loud stars...R.S Grey has become my very favorite author and I can't tell you how hilarious her books are. I rarely laugh out loud reading romance novels but with her books ohmigosh I laugh about 20 times a book OUT LOUD. I'm still giggling about the bear at staples center..can't wait for Cammie and Graysons book... If I had to read just one author forever it would be R.S Grey! I have read many of Ms. Grey's books and I always enjoy them. The Duet was a wonderful story about two people who didn't really know what they were looking for even when they found it. Jason and Brooklyn are two solo artists forced to work together by their record label. Walls are built and walls are crumbled. The supporting characters are great in The Duet as well. I enjoyed the playfulness of the story and how Brooklyn didn't take herself too seriously most of the time. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good romance story. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
