"Mornings can be tough. Sometimes, a hearty breakfast and strong cup of coffee just aren't enough. Offering more than a rush of caffeine, best-selling author Paul David Tripp wants to energize you with the most potent encouragement imaginable: the gospel. Forget "behavior modification" or feel-good aphorisms. Tripp knows that what we really need is an encounter with the living God. Then we'll be prepared to trust in God's goodness, rely on his grace, and live for his glory each and every day"--Provided by publisher. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

Tripp starts each day's reading with a Twitter-sized Gospel Truth that is easy to remember throughout the day. He reinforces this Truth with a short anecdote, reflection or poem. Finally, he points you to a scripture passage for further study and encouragement. I was surprised not to see the passages printed in the text as I have in many other devotionals, but I've come to like this format better. It allows for less pages in the book, a broader range of scripture lengths for whatever is necessary for that day, and you get to see the passage in the broader context of the Bible which can lead to further study.
I would recommend New Morning Mercies by Paul Tripp to anyone looking for a daily devotional book.
