The second part and conclusion to the first book's cliffhanger ending. This book might be able to be read without reading the first part, but it would certainly feel incomplete. Bod enters middle school outside of the graveyard and begins having some common issues with other students at his school, which are even more complicated given the other details surrounding his life in the graveyard. He goes on fewer adventures in this book, but becomes a more relatable character for middle school readers. I enjoyed the characters and how Neil Gaiman built the story and I could not have predicted how the pieces would fit together at the conclusion. I highly recommend these two books for upper elementary and middle school readers that are looking for a creepy story without too much horror. ( )

I loved the first book and this wrapped up the series well - although I must admit, it was rather a sad ending.

The story played well with the graphic novel format I must say. Text heavy, but I enjoy that. ( )

A pretty good adaptation.

So is the case with this book here. Prefer the book all the way. ( )
