I appreciate the writer addressing how Leia is dealing with the loss of Alderaan, and the sacrifices she is willing to make for the good of the Rebel Alliance. She is a great leader and a true believer in her cause, but I'm not buying the idea that she is also an X-Wing pilot. She doesn't need to be, and having her work on X-Wings doesn't add anything to the character. Giving us a new take on Leia can be done in a different way, and is done successfully in this series in other aspects. If they wanted to do something new, why not explore her unknowingly touch the force.
The story itself was interesting enough, but this type of scenario has already played out in various EU novels and literature. The art is great for the most part, but I can't get over the character faces.
Overall I feel like the author needs to watch the movies, try to understand the arcs the characters go through in the saga, and how he can expand on or touch on elements that we see later. I feel like sometimes ideas in this series are pulled out of a hat. ( )
