The plot continues, and you learn more about the unique abilities that some individuals have. ( ) Honestly, I liked the first volume leaps and bounds better. I think what I love most about this title is the world-building and there was much less of it in Vol 2 than in Vol 1. The characters also seemed flatter somehow. And while it was about the same length as the first volume, less seemed to happen. It picked up a bit with the introduction of Jazmine St. Cocaine/Ana as a POV character instead of a background mention. I am still very intrigued by the sex police and why Ana experiences the Quiet in a very different way than we had previously seen. I'll continue but this was a bit of a letdown. I was curious about this volume because everyone was saying it had a different tone. They were right, but in a good way. The first one was laugh-out-loud funny, but this one was more tongue-and-cheek (pun possibly intended). Actually I liked this volume a lot more then the first one. This volume we finally get to see new characters and character development. Jon and Suzie have what seems more of a relationship then a sex partner thing. We also get a little more info on the Sex Police. I liked Ana (St. Cocaine)'s story though. She could become a new favorite of mine if they use her more. The writing in this is better too. Yes I really liked the comedy in the last, but I like the fact this is turning more into a drama/comedy. It's nice too see more of a story. I hope three will include more people with their power. People with different sex life in hopes? Chip's art is a treat in this too. Love the fact he draws himself in nearly every issue. And I like he has as much say in the story as Matt does. They're a good team. And like the last volume, make sure you read the bonus stuff you only can find in the trades. It's worth it. Love how this comic book has the same effect on me as my little erotica kick I had last month. Makes me want to see Miller and Nin in this book lol. But I liked what Matt said at the end too how sex isn't really used as much in comics, well it's there, but it's not like this were it feel liberated rather then something we look down on. Sex Criminals to me is something telling people it's OK to talk about sex and to have sexual fantasies. We're all human after all. Now who want's some of that chicken the book keeps talking about? nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
