This was a good read, not knock your socks off great, but definitely worth reading. I connected with the characters, enjoyed their personalities and give and take. Would recommend. ( ) hmmmm I am still deciding how I feel about this book. In one hand I am saying you go not go for your best friends ex. Especially if he is as nice as AJ was. There is code amongs friends and that is you never go for an ex, it isn't done and even though these two (Darcy and Reed) claimed that no they were not going there, they really didn't fight it much. However on the other hand when Reed went to AJ, he gave his blessing, showing again what a good guy he was and knew that Reed always had a thing for Darcy. Anywho I guess it was up to them, not something I would have done, but Reed needed to get over the boo hoo is me and grow the hell up, and his little game with flirting with someone so that he wont be hurt, yeah shows your maturity buddy, so not crazy about him. Hope AJ gets a much better woman. Rcvd and ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) Voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions One Night of Scandal 3 Stars Reed Miller has always obeyed the golden rule of friendship - never poach another guy's gal. Despite his unabated lust for Darcy Grant, Reed has always kept his distance. But now that Darcy and his best friend, A.J., have called it quits, Reed is finding it virtually impossible to keep his hands to himself. To make matters worse, Darcy is determined to have her way with him even though she has no interest in a relationship with a sweet-talking bad boy like Reed. Can these two reconcile their differences and find their happily ever after? If it is done well, the forbidden romance trope can be an excellent way to ratchet up the tension and chemistry in a relationship. Luckily, Kennedy accomplishes this with little effort as Darcy and Reed heat up every available surface while fighting their pseudo-illicit attraction (as they aren't actually cheating on A. J., which would be a deal breaker). In fact, this aspect of the story plays out rather quickly and easily with relatively little angst, and the second half of the plot focuses on an entirely different issue, i.e., Darcy's bias against the type of man she believes Reed exemplifies - the player. Obviously, Darcy's attitude is problematic and it puts a minor damper on the romance as Reed is not only sexy and hot, but a truly sensitive person and a caring friend. The silly misunderstanding is, thankfully, very short lived and the resolution is sweet. All in all, a good read although the first book in the series is much better. A. J.'s story is next and I look forward to him finding his true love. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

HTML: After my last breakup, I have new rules. No more bad boys. No more fighters. But one look at Reed Miller and suddenly I understand exactly why Eve was so tempted by that apple. Because one look at that breathtakingly-hot manâ??to say nothing of that hard, sculpted bodyâ??and my mouth is watering for a taste. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
