Shalvey and Bellaire do an amazing job on art & colours respectively. Throughout the series, Moon Knight is left without any colours added. He is a stark, distinctive entity of white that moves through the world as if removed from it. Shalvey's inks really shine through in those parts where there is no colour added. As the story progresses, Moon Knight begins to become part of the world again and that journey is mirrored in the art as glimpses of skin (and, therefore, colour) are seen around his arms and hands. Also, his cape! There are parts of the book where Moon Knight can only be described as "scenery" since he takes up so much of the panel or page swooping in to get the job done. The amount of white in these panels emphasises the character's philosophy for wearing white - let them always see him coming. I highly recommend this book. Warren Ellis tells some almost interesting done-in-one short stories about Marvel's sad little Batman knock-off. Shorn of his usual supporting cast, it's some lean but generic tough guy stuff mixed with a dab of supernatural. I still can't quite manage to care about any of the many aspects of Marc Spector though. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
Marc Spector is Moon Knight! Or is he? It's hard to tell these days, especially when New York's wildest vigilante protects the street with two-fisted justice and three - that's right, count 'em - three different personalities! But even with the mystical force of Egyptian moon-god Khonshu fueling his crusade, how does the night's greatest detective save a city that's as twisted as he is? The road to victory is going to hurt. A lot. Be there as Moon Knight punches ghosts(!), investigates a sleep experiment that's driving its patients insane, travels to the mushroom graveyard planet(!!), faces the Black Spectre and takes on twenty mob enforcers to save an abducteeâ?¦alone. Marvel's most mind-bending adventure begins as Moon Knight sleuths his way to the rotten core of New York's most bizarre mysterie Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

Overall I thought the plot of each issue were a little weak and/or lacked pizzazz; it was mostly just seeing Moon Knight beat up baddies or letting the reader get a taste for what his powers are, which is a decent thing to have for readers new to him, but it does kind of leave you wanted MORE, too. It felt like such a tease to get a piece of a plot, like the bizarre shared dream issue, only to have it end so fast and then move on.
However, I definitely want to read more of Moon Knight going forwards! (Honestly the sick outfit alone has me hooked enough to keep going.) ( )
