Lucas Corinth, now a famous compoier returns with his daughter Una to his small Austrian home town where he had been involved in the anti-Nazi underground as a youth, leading refuges over the mountains to Switzerland. Ten a young man appears saying he is the son of a refugee whom Corinth betrayed...Somehow what I remember from this story is the music --his setting of the horn call of Roland, a motif that recurs at a critical moment.
