Such a sweet book about perspective and facing fears, with a wonderful grandmother-grandson relationship. The grandson comes to the city to visit his grandma but is scared by the city. Some great visuals of nana talking to the homeless and helping at a soup kitchen. Very simple language and plot, I’m not sure if I would use in an elementary classroom. ( ) The book is about a child who goes to visit his nana in the city. At first he doesn't like the city because it is busy, loud, and has scary things. His nana then gives him a red cape and he feels brave in it. His perspective about the city then changes and sees the good things about the city. I would recommend this book because it encourages children to be brave and includes beautiful illustrations. This would be a good book for 1st and 2nd graders to read. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
