Dear Wandering Wildebeest first provides a poem that talks about the animals that can be discovered near watering holes. Along with the poem is a short description an facts about animals on African grasslands and their environment. The theme of this book is the various animals that surround watering holes and their functions in that society. It is a fun way to introduce wild life to students while giving them valuable information on the world around them. This book of poems is about animals. Each animal has their own little poem about their life. And after each poem there is a fact about the animal. Snakes, birds, meerkats, beetles. This poetry collection was really a joy to read. The artwork is amazing and draws you in so that you want to read what the poem says. I really enjoyed this book of poems. There is a short, child-friendly poem about a different animal on each page. This is effective in getting the child's attention because there is one poem to focus on at a time, instead of there being poems scattered all across the pages. I also enjoyed how there is also a passage that has facts about each animal so that the students can engage in multiple ways. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
