Original how-to book for war-gamers. Written for boys of 'all ages', by the famous H.G. Wells, writer of science fiction. Lays down the basic rules for moving and fighting model soldiers on table-tops. Illustrated with maps and photos.

Relatively lavishly illustrated, this is a classic text. Not so much a set of Table top rules, but more of a large lawn set of rules, Wells' experiments set the inventive on the road to years of fun for many of his target audience. I enjoy the marginalia a great deal as well and regard this edition as a good setting for the rules. (
