This is a really cute book of poems about animals and some are really silly. It is a great book for children of all ages. I liked this book personally because it is simple to read, has great pictures and I think that the children I teach would really enjoy the poems. As extensions, I would read a different poem every week or possibly two weeks for longer poems. Then I would find different things to do for each one, for example the hippopotamus stew poem would be fun to actually make some stew, maybe in the winter time or even pretend stew with a big pot, play food and play hippo in the stew. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

This is a very good book of poetry for children to read. The colorful pictures in the book are very catchy attractive. The poems are not very long so it keeps the attention of the children. The poems are all differnt poems having to deal with all different animals.
Personal Experience:
I really enjoyed reading the short poems from the book. My children really enjoyed the pictures as well as the poems.
Classroom Extensions:
1. I would read one or two poems from the book each day during circle time.
2. I would let the students choose which poem they wanted to read for the day and take a vote. (
