This story is about a monkey who goes through spots to discaover a world of a different color. At the end there are no more spots but instead a door that opens top a world of all colors.

We have been teaching our 2 1/2 year old her colors and I picked this book up at the library to help. I have to say, I'm surprised by the previous 3 star rating. This is a wonderful book! The colors are vibrant. Each page is filled with a certain color, images of things typically found in that color and even shades of the color. Alexander the monkey goes on an adventure through each color. Each page contains a die-cut to give Alexander a way to "travel" through to the next color. The name of the color is repeated several times on each page for the child to hear as they are visually taking in the color and the images. This is a truly delightful book! Great for 2-5 year olds.
