It has virtually no dialog in it but great descriptive qualities. It just didn't always hold my interest and I found myself skimming along at times. I did enjoy the sweet love story between Ehd and Beh. You do need lots of imagination for this one though. ( ) Very different. The hero was a caveman and the heroine was a time travelling girl from modern times. Since the book was entirely written in the man's POV, you had to figure all that out from the clues in the things he sees her do. The man lacked the ability to use or understand language but he was still a smart man. He was so adorable. He tried so hard to win her and then to take care of her. The book did an effective job of maintaining a real feel of what would be important to a primitive guy. The first 2/3rds of the book was the best part. It seemed to drag on a bit but at the end you saw why. Anyway this was something fun and different to read. Review also on my blog I liked it so very much!!!! It put a smile on my face more than once and left me at the end with a happy feeling all around, definitively a book I'd recommend to all romance lovers What made it so special?? The main characters! Mostly Ehd and his internal musings! :D Ehd is a caveman, with caveman's worries and caveman's accommodations, and that also means he doesn't speak or understand human language...if that doesn't make an interesting spin to the whole man-woman relationship I don't know what it could! And if you're worried the story could be boring with pretty much no dialogue at all, don't be: the author did an amazing job in making dialogues unnecessary while describing Ehd and Beh interactions and their growing relationship. Those two are such a cute and solid couple..I loved everything about their story! nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

It's said that women and men are from two different planets when it comes to communication, but how can they overcome the obstacles of prehistoric times when one of them simply doesn't have the ability to comprehend language? Ehd's a caveman living on his own in a harsh wilderness. He's strong and intelligent, but completely alone. When he finds a beautiful young woman in his pit trap, it's obvious to him that she is meant to be his mate. He doesn't know where she came from, she's wearing some pretty odd clothing, and she makes a lot of noises with her mouth that give him a headache. Still, he's determined to fulfill his purpose in life-provide for her, protect her, and put a baby in her. Elizabeth doesn't know where she is or exactly how she got there. She's confused and distressed by her predicament, and there's a caveman hauling her back to his cave home. She's not at all interested in Ehd's primitive advances, and she just can't seem to get him to listen. No matter what she tries, getting her point across to this primitive but beautiful man is a constant-and often hilarious-struggle. With only each other for company, they must rely on one another to fight the dangers of the wild and prepare for the winter months. As they struggle to coexist, theirs becomes a love story that transcends language and time. Contains mature themes. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
