The more of E. O. Wilson's works I read, the more I feel compelled to dig deeper and deeper in the realm of science. There's so much to learn! ( )

This is the text of a conversation held between Edward O. Wilson (biologist, science writer, and long-time advocate of a meeting of minds between the sciences and humanities) and Robert Hass (former Poet Laureate of America), held in front of an audience at the American Museum of Natural History.

It's a brief conversation, so they're really only touching on most of the topics they cover, but they are interesting topics, including the evolution of human nature, environmental conservation, and how we think of ourselves in relation to the natural world. Hass, perhaps unsurprisingly, is particularly good at coming up with insightful and eloquent ways to put things.
