Fiction. Romance. Humor (Fiction.) HTML:Cassie Mae's delightful novel answers the eternal question: What do you do when you're head over heels for your best friend's guy?

Ever since high school, Kayla has been crazy for gorgeous football player Talon. But before she could muster the courage to tell him, he became a hot item with her beautiful BFF, Reagan. The only person who knows Kayla's secret is Wesley, Talon's best budand he's got it bad for Reagan. Now they're all in college together, hanging out 24/7. For Kayla, seeing the two lovebirds together is absolutely unbearable. So Kayla and Wesley hatch a plot to drive them apart before Talon has a chance to give Reagan the Christmas gift she's been waiting for.

Soon enough, the once happy couple is fighting. Reagan suddenly can't get enough of Wesley's goofy sense of humor, and Talon seems to be paying more attention to Kayla than a guy who's "only a friend" ever should. But just when everything seems to be falling into place, Kayla and Wesley accidentally spend a night together and discover a hitch in their plan they never considered: that switching partners may not lead to a perfect ending after all.
Praise for Switched

"Switched is a brilliant read that keeps you laughing, and sighing, and frustrated, and loving it!"Rachel Schieffelbein, author of Run for the Roses

"Switched was a mixture of heartfelt honesty and laugh-out-loud moments. Wesley and Kayla's journey is one you can't miss and will want to be on, cheering from the sidelines as they mess up and make up. I couldn't get enough of these two."Theresa Paolo, author of (Never) Again

"Cassie Mae's books have become my latest guilty pleasure. Pleasure, because who doesn't love to read a romantic comedy? And I say guilty because when I lay my hands on one, I tend to read them in one sitting and let all my other responsibilities go to the wayside. What dishes?"Pauline Creeden, author of Sanctuary

"Five stars . . . but as usual deserving of far more!"Le Book Squirrel

"I absolutely loved Switched. I found it cute, funny, goofy, and downright sigh-inducing."The Shadow Realm

"I found myself smiling from ear to ear (and harboring a major craving for gummy bears . . .). I love the simple way she spells out a love story. The innocent gestures and internal dialogue cause me to sigh, or laugh, with the turn of each page."Madison Says

"Sweet, romantic, funny, and very entertaining, Switched was a fantastic New Adult romance."Imagine a World

"This is a cute, fun romance with lots of laughter and an adorable love story. Switched could be a chick flick, and a good one at that. If you are looking for a short, girly book to pass the time, then you've certainly come to the right place!"Dark Faerie Tales

"Switched is a fun read and a welcome addition to the New Adult romance genre. I liked Cassie Mae's writing and plotit was just like reading a script for a 90s teen film, and there's nothing wrong with that!"Wondrous Reads.

Not what I'd call good, and once I decided these weren't really college-aged kids, it was easy enough to go with.Mindless and cutesie, I considered DNFing at 15%, but don't regret reading it. I certainly do not recommend it-unless you are 13-15.

This was an ok book. I felt the characters were a little immature for being in college but still a fun read. ( )

I picked this book out for 2 reasons.

Reason 1: It was free on Netgalley and I figured why the hell not.

Reason 2: The synopsis is something that I had actually never read about before. Probably, and I realized this around about chapter 2, because it is an absolutely terrible thing to do to a friend. Real friends do not act like that. If they pine after their best friend’s boyfriend, they do not act on it. They do not try to get said boyfriend alone and trick him into loving you instead. Real friends are happy for their best friend’s relationships. I don’t care who saw who first, you cut that shit out.

And I was prepared to hate it just because of the friendship between Kayla and Raegan and the constant swooning over Talon. BUT I related way too much to Kayla that I couldn’t find it in my heart to hate her even a little bit. I wanted her to see her ways and get better and just kiss Wesley already because I knew that’s who she wanted anyways.

The plan Kayla and Wesley hatch is ridiculous. It’s not something people actually do, and that’s why I wanted to read it. It pissed me off much of the time. They were both selfish. Plain and simple. However, a few times throughout this book, they do realize how shitty they are being. Does that stop them though? Nope. They plan through until they indeed do break up their best friends relationships.

This book is prime example that there is no such thing as “just friends” between men and women. There are always feelings somewhere beneath the surface. They may never come up for air, but they are definitely alive.

Kayla’s obsession with Talon borderlines insanity. Swear to god, every two paragraphs she was talking about how sexy Talon was in his football jersey. How hot Talon was with his black hair. How good he looked while making out with his girlfriend. And the way he was described, I just didn’t see it. He was kind of boring actually and I preferred, of course, funny musician Wesley.

Wesley was hilarious! I have NEVER literally laughed out loud while reading, and then think about it at a later time and smile like a weirdo. He was sweet and says the sexiest, cutest things! What more could a girl ask for?

The banter between Kayla and Wesley was the best damn thing about Switched. They were absolutely adorable and it’s the kind of relationship every girl wants. You will just have to read this book to see all the clever things they come up with. It’s highly entertaining.

The ending was perfect. I love how it wrapped up. I loved the surprise from Reagan and Talon. I. Loved. It. All.

If you’re looking for something light and fresh to get lost in on a rainy weekend, Switched is where it’s at. ( )

**Copy provided via Netgalley from the Publisher in exchange for a honest review**

To be honest at first I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the main character. I mean she was in love with her best friend's boyfriend and wants to plot with his best friend, who is in love with her best friend, to break them up so they can each make the other realize who they are really in love with. Make sense? So of course I thought I wouldn't like either one of them. but man was I wrong. I really like Kayla and Wesley. They were hilarious and even though it may seem hard to believe from the description, they were really good friends. They both knew in their gut they shouldn't be doing what they were doing. But they, mainly Kayla, thought it was for the best. That they would all be happier. I don't want to give anything away, but at times I found myself wanting the same thing they did, then other times I wanted to shake them both until they wanted what I wanted! This is a fairly clean story too, but did have a few heated scenes but nothing to major. That being said it did not take away from the story or make me feel like it was lacking. It was a good, quick and light read. I could not put this one down! ( )

I received this book via Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

When I saw this cover and read the summary I thought to myself "This sounds like something new. Not the usual girl meets guy and they fall in love kind of thing. Let's check it out." Then I heard other people being all excited about it, so I got even more pumped.

Guess what happened when I started reading?

I squealed. I laughed. I cheered. I felt panic. I felt utterly bewildered and cheated and gosh! I felt intoxicated to the tips of my toes.

Why? You may ask.

Well, I gotta say, Switched was wicked good. It was mean to the reader, and totally worth the time. The whole time I thought I knew what was going on, and I was taking mental pictures of it in my mind. Only to see that - man! - I was dead wrong! Nothing was as it appeared, and I was struck speechless in the end.

Honestly, I had no idea I could still be surprised by a NA contemporary romance novel. But. I. Freaking. Was!

Switched was everything it promised to be and so much more! I've even put it on my TO REREAD shelf, which has got to mean a lot you those who know me as a reviewer.

So, let's talk characters. I could honestly not believe how realistic those four people were. Kayla, Wesley, Reagan and Talon made two hilarious, thrilling, frustrating, and awfully cute couples that I just couldn't not get to love.

Kayla had had a crush on Talon since she was in kindergarten. Now in college, she still believes he's the man for her. Only he's her BFF Reagan's boyfriend. Has been for a while, and they're so sickeningly cute together, it's driving Kayla nuts. So, she figured a plan to break them up. Neat, no? What could you possibly expect from a heart-sick bff, right? Well, to be honest, I'd rather have a different kind of person as a best friend, ya know? The kind that will support me, not try to break me up with the one guy I'm in love with.
All that said, Kayla was shy. She was fun to be around when she was relaxed, but that's not how it would go when Talon is around. Gosh, she was infuriating, talking about pizza toppings for twenty minutes!
I loved her inner conversations so much! They were hilarious! And those outlines and plans she made? Spectacular!

Wesley was hung up on Reagan. But honestly, I didn't get the impression that he was too hung up on her. I mean, it felt like he said some things just to please Kayla. I liked it that even though he teamed up with Kayla in this whole shady business, he still cared about his friends quite a lot.

Talon and Reagan surprised me the most. They were like those shallow waters that turn to be quite deep. We didn't get to be in their minds, but what I gathered from them was that they couldn't hold a grudge against their bff's no matter how guilty the last were. Also, they were good for each other and I think they really showed everyone what 'love conquers all' should mean. ( )
