I have always enjoyed Deveraux's Montgomery-Taggert stories and this book is no exception. This is the second in the Nantucket Brides series. In this book Toby is just finishing with her friend Jared & Alix's wedding where she has been introduced to Graydon Montgomery. Graydon needs a place to stay for a week so Toby offers her roommates bedroom since the roommate will be gone for awhile. Of course there's more to Graydon's story, like he's a prince and they are connected in past lives but rather than thinking we'll of course, this is a romance of course - wait and read the book because Deveraux writes a story that while a plot may have been done before not nearly as well or with such humor and feeling. An enjoyable read that will me you want to read the third in the series, and f you haven't already, the first. Sigh. Everyone wants a Montgomery or a Taggert, don't they? This one happens to be the Crown Prince of Lanconia, a descendant of JT and Aria from Deveraux's The Princess. I really love how Deveraux keeps bringing back characters from her previous books/series and tying them all in together. Anyway, Toby is, like, the least pretentious gorgeous person ever, and so she treats this Prince guy like a Regular Guy, which he obviously falls for, but can't marry because of his arranged Royal Engagement back home. Also, there's some fun ghostly flashbacks to their previous incarnations on Nantucket Island, which is unlikely and incredible, but I'll suspend disbelief because it's just so adorable and this is not supposed to be the most realistic genre anyway, right? This is a must for any Deveraux fan, but those new to her books might want to start at the very beginning... Another wonderful book by Jude Deveraux. I always love every word she writes. The time travel and reincarnation theme going on in the book was very interesting and I loved every part where they were in the 1800s. I am very happy that this book had Lanconians in it as I have loved every other book where Jude Deveraux has written about the royal Lanconian family (The Maiden and The Princess). I really hope she writes some more Lanconia books in the future. The Nantucket setting is just as wonderful in the book as it was in True Love and I loved reading all the continuations on the side characters stories from the first book. Graydon and Toby were both wonderful characters and I really loved their story and all the bumps and travels along the way to their happy ending. I also enjoyed the inclusion of Millie in the end. Next book on my "to buy" list is Ever After and I am looking forward to reading a Taggert story again. :D Up until now "Knight in Shining Armor" has been my favorite Jude Deveraux book. I just finished reading "For All Time", and it's the best book from this author by a mile. I haven't read the first book in the trilogy, but it didn't matter at all. This story is simply amazing. The plot weaves in and out of past and present, throw in a handsome prince, identical twins switching places and all kinds of plot twists are the result. Truly a wild ride, I couldn't put this book down. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

For All Time is book 2 of the Nantucket Brides. I have not read the first one and similarly like other romance series, it can be read as a standalone. This book is about Toby, a virgin and still looking for Mr. Right to sweep her off the floor, and Graydon, the proper prince in training betrothed to a noble woman, Danna. They are aware of the consequences as such tried very hard to be platonic. However, events happened out of their hands, and they became much closer that everyone knows Toby will be left heartbroken when Graydon finally leaves Nantucket and goes back to his country, Lanconia.
When I started reading it, I kept thinking of those Diva channel's kinda romance and I thought of Anne Hathaway's The Princess Diaries. Of course, this one is the opposite where we have a prince instead of a queen or princess. Added with a little time travel, it did make the book more entertaining to read even though I know what to expect at the end.
Overall, it has the standard romance formula (sappy + hardheaded + unknowingly falling in love) that when it ended happily ever after, I felt satisfied with it and I could continue to read another book LOL! If you are looking for a light and feel-good romance read, you can never go wrong with Jude Deveraux.
