This is my second taste of Zivkovic's fiction and I continue to be impressed.

These stories aren't quite as strong as the ones in The Library but that's only because some of them are so brief. The Library featured six shorts over 110 pages and here there are twelve stories in just 80 pages. As a result these stories are almost too minimal to make a full impression. I think it's telling that the additional short story, The Teashop, a comparatively whopping 24 pages, is the one with the most lasting impact.

That's not to say that Zivkovic's imagination isn't still a marvellous thing. The little ideas he comes up with for each story are still minute joys, but I was left craving more this time around. I'll have to read one of his novels next to see how he fares in the longer format.

This is good but you'll wish there was more. Three stars for the 12 Collections part and an extra half star for the very nicely done Teashop short. ( )

Quirky, odd, and strangely compelling. The stories are well kept together and feels like a parts of a whole while still retaining their individual voices. It makes you think - and you can't help but to muse over the nature of collections and the collectors behind them.

This is my first exposure to Zivkovic, and it almost feels more like a teaser than anything else. I'll definitely get back to him for more at some point. ( )
