Disappointing that the story wasn't more interesting, well-thought-out, etc. from the great premise. The rhythm seemed to drop at different points, so did the rhyming. The vocabulary was at a consistent grade level until a few much more advanced words were suddenly thrown all onto the same page. The ending was sudden and ho-hum... and the theme of Ned's "nuddiness" being such a "naughty," "rude," etc. negative thing, judged and commented on by all, was the most disappointing of all. Might as well have ended the story telling that Ned grew up to be a flasher, running out onto the field of an international football match, and getting arrested. ( )
