On leave from her FBI researcher career, Emmy Dockery tries to convince her boyfriend that hundreds of unsolved cases are linked to a single perpetrator. "Everyone thinks Emmy Dockery is crazy. Obsessed with finding the link between hundreds of unsolved cases, Emmy has taken leave from her job as an FBI researcher. Now all she has are the newspaper clippings that wallpaper her bedroom, and her recurring nightmares of an all-consuming fire. Not even Emmy's ex-boyfriend, field agent Harrison "Books" Bookman, will believe her that hundreds of kidnappings, rapes, and murders are all connected. That is, until Emmy finds a piece of evidence he can't afford to ignore. More murders are reported by the day--and they're all inexplicable. No motives, no murder weapons, no suspects. Could one person really be responsible for these unthinkable crimes?" --… (altro)

so I spent My Halloween reading a novel and handing out candy.. not a bad combination. this is a little different from James. I have read many of his books and have enjoyed them all. This one I liked more then I thought I would. Great ending a must read.

Wow. Fabulous. I actually read the second in this series before this one, so did not have all the background on the main character, Emmy Dockery. But reading the first book filled in gaps about her. Patterson's ability to create evil villains is unsurpassed. I highly recommend it. ( )

Not a lot to say about this one except it was exciting and entertaining. The ending wasn't obvious to me, and I went through it pretty fast without getting bored.

It was pretty easy to follow because the chapters kept alternating between the killer's monologue and the FBI agent, so we always heard both sides of the story. Unfortunately, the killer wasn't particularly reliable, as we fine out later, but still, at least we have the illusion of knowing what's going on. ( )

On one hand it has a surprise ending but on the other hand the surprise ending has been used by hundreds of writers so it did not surprise me. None-the-less it is well written, and is a fast read. ( )

I like this one alot. I find the audio version very well done. If you listen to his Women Murder Club series, it's the same narrator and she some how made the main character of Invisible more likable. Good ending twist with this one and I will definitely listen to the next book with David Ellis. ( )
