While I did enjoy it, it was too predictable. Before I was even half way through I had already figured out who Finn was to her and who this 'stalker' was. Kind of disappointed in the so called plot twist. I also didn't care much for Brooklyn, yes she's had a horrific past but there were times where I just couldn't stand her. Now Finn on the other hand, I loved. Yes he's made out to be the typical bad boy in a band who sleeps around and never gets serious but he's a good guy who genuinely cares for Brooklyn and helps her open up. Also, their relationship was hot. Aside from the predictability the story as a whole was good. It had that creepy vibe throughout and the addition of flashbacks (which were told through Brooklyns nightmares) was a nice touch. I wish I could give this a higher rating but I can't. The ending was a bit anticlimactic and I really wanted to just skip the last 15-20% and be done with it. I was surprised to learn how young this author is and a little disappointed that she's only written one book. I really liked this one. The "suspense" portion of the plot was really predictable and after the first flashback dream, I made the quite obvious connection as to who her "trigger" was, but those things didn't really bother me or detract from a really solid coming of age romance. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

Twenty-year-old Brooklyn "Bee" Turner is no stranger to grief. After witnessing her mother's brutal murder at age six, Brooklyn is guarded, damaged, and-by all accounts-a bitch. And that's just the way she likes it, if it means keeping everyone at arm's length. When she stumbles, quite literally, into Finn Chambers-campus ladies' man and the lead singer of a local band-she's unprepared for his persistence in befriending her and for the dangerous attraction she begins to feel for him. Because with Finn, she knows that it would be more than just sex, more than just friendship, and maybe even more than just love. When a sinister presence from her past reemerges, Brooklyn will be pushed to her breaking point. For the first time in fifteen years, she will confront both her grief and her memories, as she plays a deadly game of cat-and-mouse with an unforeseen enemy.Contains mature themes. Like Gravity is a very predictable new adult romantic suspense story with cliched characters and a simplistic plot. While there are a few enjoyable moments and some humorous banter, there just isn't anything unique to make this book stand out from countless others with the same premise. Overall, Like Gravity is a disappointing attempt at romantic suspense. ( )
