From what vantage point do we view life? A forty-year-old woman contemplates her detachment from the visitor room in the hospital where her mother as a patient. She is a spectator in life, perhaps by her own choice or by her own acceptance of the circumstances she allowed to be imposed her. Her husband and her best friend, to the contrary, are the type of people who face any challenge without giving up one once of participation in their own lives. It's this contrast, among others, that brings her to a realization of her own doubts, regrets, contradictions and failures.
