Car c’est en se figeant dans ces schémas “conformistes” que naissent les tensions, les douleurs et, finalement, les réels problèmes de santé.
Essentiellement pratique, l’ouvrage de Moshe Feldenkrais propose des exercices de mouvements corporels. Plus qu’une gymnastique de détente, ces gestes simples et faciles à exécuter sont destinés à améliorer la conscience, l’attitude, la vision et l’imagination du corps. Ils ont été conçus pour favoriser de meilleurs réflexes et habitudes corporels, de nouvelles dimensions d’éveil à soi-même et de construction de l’image de soi.
Apprendre ainsi à corriger des programmes physiques et psychiques qui, a priori, peuvent paraître inamovibles, permet de développer toutes nos capacités en repoussant les limites fictives qui les emprisonnent.
La conscience, écrit l’auteur, est la plus haute étape du développement humain, et plus elle approche de l’intégralité, plus elle permet d’exercer un contrôle harmonieux sur toute l’activité corporelle.
