Tricia Goyer has written a keeper in her book “Arms of Deliverance”, published by Moody Publishers. I enjoyed this book from page one. This novel takes the reader to a time during World War II in England, France, Germany and Belgium. We see the war through the stories of Rebecca Lodz, a Jew living as an Aryan, Katrine, who is the mistress of a Nazi officer, Hendrick Schwartz. She becomes pregnant and he takes her to the famous Lebensborn, a Nazi baby factory. Along with Katrine and Hendrick, we also see the war from the life of Eddie Anderson, a bomber navigator; and Mary Kelly and Lee O’Donnelly who are war correspondents who make their way to the front lines. I was totally immersed in this story from the beginning and all the way to the end. I felt as though I was living their lives and their stories unfolded and intermeshed. Anyone enjoying novels of the war will certainly enjoy this book. I will be looking for more books from Ms. Goyer. I received a free Kindle copy of this book from Moody Publishers through Amazon.com in return for my honest review. The opinions expressed here are my own. You can find this review on my blog at http://wp.me/p2pjIt-8o. I can't decide if this book or From Dust and Ashes is my favorite of the series. I wish there would have been more chapters about Katrine, but other than that I loved it. The inaccurate names some of the characters had did annoy me, however. As far as I know, Hendrick, Onna, and Katrine are not German names. Onna isn't a name at all, in fact. The author should have used Heinrich, Anna, and Katharina (or some other German variant). I know a lot of people wouldn't even care or notice, but it really detracts from the realism. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

Arms of Deliverance is the fourth and final chapter in the thrilling World War II series. Mary and Lee have gone from best friends to competing WWII journalists, but a bombing raid gone wrong puts Mary's life at risk and sends Lee on a heroic rescue attempt through the fierce teeth of combat. Then, amidst an adventurous struggle for freedom, they uncover the story of the unspeakable Lebensborn atrocity. With equal doses of adrenaline and poignancy, Tricia Goyer's storytelling brings well-crafted characters to life in a graphically authentic World War II setting. She places readers not only behind enemy lines into the heat of battle, but also deep into the innermost sanctuary of the human heart. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

This book takes the reader to a time during World War II that takes you to England, France, Germany and Belgium. You will meet Rebecca, who is a Jew, but secretly living as an Aryan and going by the name of Katrine. She becomes the mistress of a Nazi officer, Hendrick Schwartz. When she becomes pregnant, Hendrick takes her to a Nazi baby factory (which was hard to believe was happening during this time, or any time in history).
You will also see the war from the life of Eddie, a bomber navigator, and Mary Kelly and Lee O’Donnelly who are both lady war correspondents trying to make a name for themselves by getting to the front lines of the war. Mary and Eddie will end up flying together over Berlin to drop some bombs, but Mary will find that being on the front lines and putting your life in danger, maybe isn't all she expected.
These "Liberator Series" books I feel stand alone and can be read by themselves. They, so far, have been very good and I recommend you read them all. ( )
