Is it an alphabet book or a book about numbers? when these worlds collide, things can get messy.

An exciting and complicated book about numbers and letters coming together to identify various animals and objects. This provides elaborate images for students to count and name every thing. In the end, when all the letters have been used, the reader discovers that there are 26 letters in the alphabet. This would be a fun book for groups of students and read aloud in order to work together to identify what is included in each picture.

Truly imaginative with amusing and lively illustrations. I was curious how the author/illustrator created his images and the publishing page says he used the digital tool, Corel Painter. An argument ensues between the number 1 and letter A about the content of this book and many characters join in until both agree that numbers and letters can work together in harmony. Hungry Geese eating Hot Dogs and Ice-cream cones; Koalas and Lions work on a Jigsaw; and Monkeys wearing Neckties juggle Oranges. It is slightly confusing to read at first but would be an excellent read-aloud with two people, one taking the number 1's dialogue and the other taking the part of the letter A.

A silly book where 26 numbers and the letters of the alphabet argue about whose book it really is. Is it a book about numbers? Is it a book about letters?

The letters and numbers are competing to see what this book will be about. The letters think it should be about reading and the numbers think it should be about adding and subtracting. In the end, the letters and number realize how great they are when they work together. The numbers count while the letters find words to start with each letter of the alphabet. ( )
