When twelve year old Andy Ferguson arrives at the Irish manor house that is to be his new home and is greeted outside the front door by all the servants, he notices a woman dressed in black at an upstairs window. On inquiring who she is, he is told he must be mistaken as no-one else lives in the house and in fact the window in question belongs to a long ago closed up room. So who is this mysterious creature? Is she a ghost? And what about the eerie music that fills the house every night at the stroke of midnight.
