Brad, the mouse, adores James the lion -except for his many trysts and amorous adventures. They hurt him, and he tries desperately to lose weight (from eating to much cheese!)to make himself more attractive. But nothing seems to help and as soon as he decides to give up, Ramses the vampire appears and wants to stake a claim. Of course, that makes James realize that he might lose Brad - and he goes after him as well. Brad has no idea what to do, truly is as shy as a mouse, and can't believe two gorgeous men are after him. Much of the story is about his mates trying to boost Brad's self-confidence.
James is afraid of being hurt again, so he acts out and allows only one-night stands. He has a lot to learn, and thank God Ramses is there because he seems to be the only one able to get the stubborn lion to see sense.
Ramses has his own issues, but they are not in relationships. He is the glue between Brad and James, and when his own past comes by his house to haunt him, he will need all the support he can get. Luckily, James and Brad are able to help.
Like with the first book in this series, I have to warn you: if you're looking for a "realistic" story, with characters that behave in a normal "human" way, stay away. This is paranormal fiction and involves some pretty crazy species and, in this case, characters (mainly the villain). If, on the other hand, you're looking for a funny, light entertainment that is almost a parody, and if you enjoy hot menages between three men who can't keep their hands off the "cute submissive" and each other, then you will probably like this very entertaining book.
