The editor compiles historical material and poetry and letters from, to, and about Emily Dickinson. Reminds us that she never published anything in her lifetime, but stands now in high regard as an accomplished poet. She left 1775 poems that have been found. As a poet, she worked alone, without criticism, and remains breath-takingly original. Also included is the account of Thomas Wentworth Higginson's letters and his visit with Emily Dickinson. A collection of the author's poetry, followed by letters she wrote to the various people in her life. There are many collections of her poetry that are far better, but the additional information helps to gain a rare glimpse inside the life of a unique and interesting woman. Though often presented as isolated and solitary, her letters show that, in fact, she had a number of friends, correspondant, and visitors. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
