This book is a fun turn of the tables when a little girl's mother attends school with her after she invites her in. Her mom becomes more of a behavior problem than any of the other kids and embarrassed the little girl. In the end the little girl has to tell her mother how to behave and where to sit and stand in line. This book teaches kids about independence and positive behavior in a somewhat comical way by using their parent's example coming into class and acting worse than the children. ( ) This book about role-reversal will definitely make kids laugh. Funniest of all, the children will laugh at the mom doing these silly things, when in all reality, those laughing kids are the ones who really do those silly things. This is such a cute book, and it may help students to point out what the mother is doing wrong in the classroom. It may teach manners, respect, and following the rules. A mother spends a day in a kindergarten class with her daughter and forgets her manners. She skips the line, doesn't use her inside voice, and makes a lot of scenes. She was having a blast, though. I guess her mother forgot what it was like to be a child and got carried away since she was having too much fun. Fergus puts a funny twist on the first trip to kindergarten. Instead of it being the child's first day, it is her mother's. Her daughter invited her to kindergarten and it quickly becomes a disaster when her mom doesn't know how to follow the rules. It's a hilarious role switch because the mother becomes like a child, talking out of turn and not staying in line. Kids will love this story and laugh aloud at the crazy antics of an adult because adults are not supposed to get in trouble. Set in the classroom her daughter learns patience and to control her anger. Good lessons for kids growing up and interacting with other children. Children also get to see that adults make mistakes too. This book is a cute realistic fiction story of when mom came to kindergarten, and the child invited her to join them, but then mom couldn't seem to do anything by the rules. Kindergarten is hard work! I would love to, if I ever taught kindergarten, to start out with this book to show not only what to do, but how mom and dad might struggle to follow the rules too if that's not what they're used to. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
