Unhinged was yet another lovely novel by AG Howard!

I wasn't instantly hooked on this novel like I was the first one, but it was still an incredible read! I loved revisiting Morpheus, Jeb and Alyssa yet again!

I will be honest, I didn't like that a lot of this story did not take place in Wonderland. With it taking place in the "real world", it left me feeling cheated and bored. The plot moved fast and it was full of adventure, but the lack of Wonderland made it appear to be boring!

Overall, I loved it! But I hope the next novel takes place in Wonderland even more!

And that Alyssa finally chooses between Jeb and Morpheus (I hope Morpheus!

It's been at least 5 years since I read the first book in the series, Splintered, so I didn't remember all the specifics of what had happened in that story. However, any important details were lightly skimmed over as needed to refresh my memory in Unhinged.

The story moved relatively quickly, however, the gist of the climax was narrowed down to only the last 40 or so pages. There were a lot of things going on between Alyssa and Jeb, Alyssa and Morpheus, prom, etc., so there was no shortage of some kind of action. The characters were mainly developed in the first book, but we delved a little bit deeper into them and their pasts with this one. I enjoyed reading this, as the entire series is a big departure from the original Alice story.

All in all, four stars from me. It's good for a YA book, an interesting re-imagining of Alice in Wonderland, the punk version. If you like YA books with a little supernatural flair, a love triangle, secrets, and a teenage female heroine, then you'll probably like this. Definitely read the first book first, though. ( )

THE FEELS! IT WAS AMAZING.
But the end! That cliffhanger! Noooo.
I have no words to describe what I just read.
My mind is definitely unhinged. Cheesy but true.

I was extremely impressed with Splintered, especially since I'm a huge fan of Alice in Wonderland, but I somehow managed to love Unhinged even more. I would try and write a good, coherent review for this, but I can't because *flails* all the amazingness and feels. I'm not even kidding you. This is a book I could reread over and over again and never tire of it.

What I loved:
EVERYTHING.
To be more descriptive though-just kidding, I can't because it was all perfect.
Okay, but really, I loved the creepiness of the novel. Although there were less scenes that took place Wonderland than there were in Splintered, I could just feel the utter creep factor when they occurred.
The plot. I mean seriously, I could never have imagined some of the characters in it having such a big role. I never knew what to expect when I was reading this and I loved that.
The love triangle(?). To be honest, I'm not really sure what's going on with this but I love it anyway! I don't mind love triangles as long as they're done right and this one is just great.
I will forever be team Jeb, but I do actually really like Morpheus too. However, while I do like Morpheus (and feel bad for him sometimes. And by that I mean I want to give him a great big hug, which I don't think he would enjoy) I think Jeb and Alyssa make a better couple. I hardcore ship them. I even have a Team Jeb button, courtesy of A. G. Howard herself.

What I didn't like:
The end. Not just because it means I have to wait for the third book, but also because of that cliffhanger! Okay, so pretty much because I have to wait another year. xD
The love triangle. I know you're like what? She just said she liked it! And I do, I just don't know how I feel about Morpheus! I can't tell if he's bad or good! He doesn't have to be one or the other but it just makes me feel bad for him at the time being! I can't tell if he genuinely likes Alyssa or is just using her to save Wonderland.

These aren't really real things I didn't like because I obviously loved everything about it.
Now I shall wait not so very patiently for the third book.

Cuando terminé Susurros (nombre de su versión en español) quedé tan encantada con la historia que tenía TERROR de leer Unhinged, a veces las continuaciones no tienden a igualar, o mucho menos, superar la experiencia de leer el primer libro. Pero Unhinged, oh, vaca, Unhinged...

No tengo idea por dónde empezar.

Cuando la persona que me prestó su copia de Unhinged me la ofreció, básicamente la taclee para que me diera el libro (#SorryNotSorry), la cosa es un poco curiosa, he participado en TODOS los concursos que se hicieron para ganar el ARC... y no gané ninguno. NINGUNO. ¿Saben lo que fue eso? Tratando de sobornar a A.G. Howard para que me diera el libro y nada. Fue horrible.

Empezando por la maquetación del libro, es preciosa, muy bien cuidada, los detalles de inicio de capítulo, muy bonitos.

Si en Susurros estuve confundida por escoger un "Team" o al menos quién me gustaba más, con Unhinged ya no hay duda, mi amor por Morfeo no tiene límite. Es que la escritora me lo puso muy fácil, la historia que nos trajo esta vez, si bien Jeb tiene un importante rol, más maduro, podría decirse, con cierta bomba que soltó Howard, no tuvo oportunidad conmigo. Y en cuanto a la bomba, no es tanto lo qué es, sino cómo eso afecta al desarrollo de los personajes. Al menos de dos. ¿Cómo una escritora puede derretir y romper tu corazón al mismo tiempo?

Tengo un conflicto con Al porque no sé si me cae del todo bien, quizá sea el hecho que si a mí me dieran la entrada a Wonderland, no miraría atrás y sería feliz en la locura de su mundo.

Me encantó cada palabra puesta en este libro, cada giro de trama, cada maldita palabra que decía Morfeo (lo adoro, lo siento si canso con esto). Y por la **** ¡qué final! Y quieren que espere hasta 2015 para el siguiente libro. JA, NO. Si ya antes acosaba por twitter a Anita, ahora me tendrá que bloquear si quiere estar en paz (?)

A year ago Alyssa plunged down the rabbit hole in the hopes of saving her mother, a year ago she and Jeb faced the wildness of Wonderland together, a year ago she was human, or so she thought. A lot can change in a year. The Red Queen was defeated, her mother was declared sane and returned home, Alyssa was crowned Queen and Jeb lost all memories of his time in Wonderland.
