But when Franco observes men smuggling diamonds he is killed and Dorianne is the one who found him. This traumatic event will continue to affect Dorianne and when she witnesses another killing (on her way to meet the man she wants to marry as a mail order bride) she will experience 'hysterical blindness'. But Stone McKenna, the widowed young marshal of Tombstone, doesn't care if she can't see, he knows she is the one for him. It is a joy to watch these two adapt to their new situation, and to see how God orchestrates it all at the end. These authors write really good historical romance stories that always give great life lessons and give the gospel message. I enjoy my time each time I sit down to read one of these 'mail order bride' series. They are all stand alone stories, so you can read them in any order you want. Enjoying my time out West and learning a little history in the process. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

In this sixth installment in the popular Mail Order Bride series, Dorianne DeFeo is a lovely, loyal daughter to widower Franco DeFeo, who works on the docks in Brooklyn. When Franco catches two fellow workers smuggling diamonds, they stab him and he dies in Dori's arms. Persevering through her grief, Dori finds her employment opportunities diminishing and finally answers an ad from Arizona lawman Stone McKenna for a mail-order bride. Traveling west, Dori experiences another shock, and her tired mind shields her from more hurt with a psychologically induced blindness. Will Stone still want his bride now that she's blind? Will the young couple let God penetrate their pain? Can a miracle accomplish what medicine can't? Together Dori and Stone await the daybreak in the darkness of their lives.
