This is a wonderful resource for teens, and I'm so glad Levy included adults in her audience too. The vignettes and journaling exercises are going to be so, so valuable to teens going through this. I'm grateful this was written. ( ) In Love and in Danger is a self-help book for young adults experiencing abusive relationships either as the abused, abuser, and friend or parent of either. It begins by exposing true stories of the abused and ends with ways to stop and prevent abuse. This book is written to make an abused person feel that she/he is not alone and how most people try to hide the abuse. The author, Barrie Levy, is an M.S.W. , active in the movement to prevent violence against women for 25 years, has edited and co-written several books, and teaches at UCLA in the Department of Social Welfare and Women's Studies. Even though one might think that this is a high school and up issue, the book's interviews reflect that dating violence can start as early as 13 and continues through adulthood. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
