The first reason I liked this book is because the plot involves a character overcoming a fear. Overcoming a fear is a common obstacle for younger children, so I think this book will be very engaging to young readers. The second reason liked this book is because the illustrations fit really well with the plot of the story. The background illustrations have a undefined lines, which fits with the feeling of uncertainty. When someone has a fear they have uncertain feelings, so the uncertain lines in the illustrations fit with the plot of the book. The third reason I liked this book is because the character choice was ironic. I liked how Angela Dominguez chose a bird to be afraid of flying because it shows young children that anyone can have any fear even if it sounds ridiculous. The main idea of the book is overcoming a fear, which shows children that determination can lead to success in overcoming a fear, which may lead to a happier life. ( ) Another great book to teach students that it's ok to not be good at something or to know how to do something. It can be used in lessons about practice and determination, and how we must persevere. The illustrations were wonderful and I can see a lesson ending with an art element, where students get to create their own art of a scene from the story. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
