This is a great book about friendship. In the story, nugget goes to minnow school where he learns that sharks are bad and scary. Fang is sad because now his long time friend is afraid of him and wants nothing to do with him, even though he's seen how nice Fang is. One day, minnow and his class of minnows were caught in a net. Fang was able to rescue all the minnows by ripping the net. Nugget and all the other minnows love Fang and are taught not to judge a book by it's cover. I like this book and could use it any time to remind the students of friendship. It might be good to use if there are students with disabilities to show the others that anyone can be a friend. ( )

shark wants to be friends with the other fish but they are scared of him. they learn that shark isn't that bad when he saves them all from a large net.
