I would probably rate this between a 3.5 and a 4. The book (Eyes Wide Open) is getting better . It is still hard for me to see these "books" as actual books; I see them more as sections of books. It is hard to talk about this section without giving anything away. The action is more intense in this section of the book and the book is becoming faster paced, but it is still a little slow to me. I wish things were more clear as to what is happening in the story, but I suppose that that helps to build suspense. ( )

I did not really know what to think when I started this book. A mother not loving her child is such a foreign concept to me. The story was very well written, dishing out bits of information at a time, each based on a main character in the book. This kept me riveted to my seat and the book. Eventually the story comes together with some twists, turns and strange things, which I am not sure I always understood, but still a thoroughly enjoyable book. I wonder if there will be a follow up soon as the ending left me somewhat frustrated, not knowing exactly what to expect, yet full of thoughts and ideas. A great read ( )
