Natalie gave a inside view of life from a ten-year old girl of a family of a lumberjack. The details of life intertwined in the story's movement, allowing the pace to keep my boys' attention, yet give depth of experience. A quick read that gave them a picture of life in another time with a challenging job. ( ) This was a decent book. It wasn't one of my favorites but then again I was never interested in reading Little House on the Prairie which is sort of what this writing style and plot remind me of. I liked the ending and how things seem to work out in time. I did like the way the author was able to stress the love the little girl felt for her father. Just when she is struggling the most with her father's death she meets a blind lady who changes her perspective on life. This is a slow paced plot so if your interested in action and fast paced story lines this isn't the book for you. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
