This book is one of linear consequences where it all starts with the farmer "who kissed his wife, who pats the dog, who...." and ends with the farmer milking a cow. Large full page illustrations that works for a toddler or preschool storytime. ( )

I do like Tafuri's big bright art style and book design. ?áHer books are great for a teacher to share with a whole class of rugrats. ?áOf course I, personally, am kinda tired of books that give us the impression that these kinds of family farms, with one donkey, one cow, one rooster, etc., still exist. ?áBut hey, call it a folk-tale and it'll never get old.

Btw, I'm reading it for a discussion in the Children's Books group on GR. ?áIn case, like one of the readers there, you don't know what that thing hanging on the wall in the first pic is, it's a boot jack. ( )
