Why would she be swallowing a rose? What holiday goes with roses? This is a great story about teaching valentines cards and crafts. Valentines is more than just a card, it’s the thought that goes into make the card that counts. Personal Response: These “old lady” texts are fun and easy to read out loud. They are predictable plots, with easy to read and decode texts. If I needed a quick book to read to young children, I would go to this series. Curriculum Connection: These books are good for struggling readers. The text, pictures, and plot all go together, and keep the attention of the reader. All of the books in this series can be housed together in the library. The whole series of these books are cute and likeable. This is a classic story line taken used with art to tell a different story, to tell holiday stories. There was an old lady who swallowed a rose. The storyline is a classic; there are several versions of this story and several written by this same artist. The original story has bland graphics, but these are colorful and help paint a more vivid picture of what the classic story is telling us. This illustrator also illustrates for several stories and has a style that I am drawn too. The colors and pictures are unique and I enjoy looking at them. Illustrator Jared Lee. I would buy this for a friend because it is a classic story and it would be a nice alternative to a Valentine Day’s card. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
