Though I didn't like this book as much as the previous books, it was still amazing! I only have one book left in the series and am pretty sad about it but also excited to see how everything ends! I'm giving it 5 stars because its one of my favorite series and I'm pretty biased to be honest. ( ) This isn't the most well-written book series, but I love the concept of the Disney chararacters coming to life, so I always read the newest book. Dark passage could have been 100 pages shorter and just as good, as some of the scenes were either drawn out and wordy or unnecessary...the book seemed to drag on and on. The story was fun though. The apparent manipulation of the Kingdom Keepers was an interesting turn and the ending definitely left me excited for the new book to see what will happen next. Dark Passage begins where its predecessor, Shell Game, leaves off: on the Disney Dream cruise to Panama. In fact, the major plot of this book is a continuation of Shell Game's plot-- the Overtakers attempting to resurrect Chernabog and the Keepers attempting to thwart them. And just like the aforementioned book, Dark Passage infuses teenage drama, specifically relationships among the Keepers, with the plot. Unlike Shell Game, Dark Passage is...well, dark. An ancient, Myan-like sacrifice leads to the death of Dillard, a volunteer Keeper. This is no longer a children's story. KINGDOM KEEPERS VI: DARK PASSAGE is an exciting Children's Books/Action & Adventure/Science Fiction/Fantasy and so much. Age range: 10 and up. #6 in the "Kingdom Keepers" series, but can be read as a stand alone. This is my first in this series, but it will not be my last. Packed full of action, adventure, friendship, mystery, danger, trust, and of course Disney. From the book jacket: "According to plan, one of the five Kingdom Keepers is to be this monster's first victim." Who will it be and why? You must read "Kingdom Keepers: Dark Passage" to find out. A fast paced story from beginning to end. A fascinating story of friendship and trust. Everyone young and old will enjoy the "Kingdom Keepers". Received from the publisher for an honest review.
