Un romanzo storico superlativo. Nonostante la mole si legge in pochissimo tempo. E' un libro complesso da leggere perchè racconta la storia di 4 famiglie nel corso del tempo dal 1200 a oggi. Nonostante questo è scritto talmente bene, i personaggi sono così ben descritti che non ci perde mai nel capire chi sono. Altra cosa che ho apprezzato moltissimo è il modo di raccontare, sembra quasi che l'autore abbia visto ciò che racconta, che sia stato presente durante i vari periodi storici. Altro particolare importantissimo è che tutte le vicende storiche accadute sono reali e non c'è nulla di inventato se non le 4 famiglie. ( )
